You Asked, We Answered!

Our team at Kids’ Smiles on Lincoln takes pride in being a resource for parents on all things children’s dentistry. So, if you have a question about your little one’s growing smile, don’t hesitate to reach out to us! If you can’t get on the phone right now, don’t worry – we’ve also dedicated this next section to answering FAQs.

The road to becoming a pediatric dentist is long, and it requires unwavering commitment to extensive education and training. That all starts with a bachelor’s degree. From there, the aspiring pediatric dentist must earn their Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or a Doctor of Dental Sciences (DDS) from one of only 67 accredited dental schools. After 3 years of in-classroom and hands-on training, they will graduate and then pursue additional education on pediatric dentistry specifically. Of course, their studies are far from over because they also need to complete continuing education hours each year in order to maintain their license!

If your child is struggling with a painful toothache, they knocked-out a tooth, or they are experiencing persistent dental sensitivity, then we strongly recommend calling our Worcester pediatric dental team ASAP. Over the phone, we will ask you a few questions to learn more about their symptoms and determine what the next best step is. If their dental injury requires same-day treatment, we will do our best to see them right away. If their dental injury is a bit more mild, then we will schedule an appointment before the end of the week and provide you with tips on how to help your child in the meantime.

Important note: If your child has fractured their jaw, is having trouble breathing, is bleeding uncontrollably, or is experiencing any other life-threatening symptoms, then you should call 911 or take them to the ER immediately.

It’s very common for parents to worry about the cost of their child’s care, especially if something comes up unexpectedly. Please know that our team is here to make navigating the ins and outs of the price as headache-free as possible. In fact, we offer several financial solutions – from dental insurance and MassHealth to flexible financing with LendingPoint! Plus, we will always give you an estimate of the cost beforehand so you know what to expect.
